The ‘Currawong’ picker's cabin is located at Bundaleera Vineyard, a 13-acre property just a few minutes’ drive from the Launceston city centre.
Inspired by our time living in a small mountain cabin in Norway, the picker’s cabin is a Scandinavian retreat grounded in simplicity - a place to slow down, reflect and reconnect.
Inside, the studio-style space is cosy and comfortable. A compact kitchenette includes a small fridge, twin gas cooktop, sink and all the essentials for your vineyard getaway. The bathroom offers a hot shower and a composting (no water flushing) toilet. All towels and linen are also provided.
We offer guests discounted wine tastings and wine is also available for purchase in your cabin at discounted prices.
The picker’s cabin is ideal for couples or solo travelers seeking a quiet wellness escape and connection to nature. Please be aware there is limited wifi in the cabin - but we think this helps you switch off and really immerse in your surroundings!
Bundaleera is a convenient 12 minute drive from the Launceston Airport and an easy 13 minute drive to the historic Launceston city centre. Josef Chromy Wines is also a short walk from our property, or an even shorter drive, making Bundaleera the perfect place to stay if you are attending functions at Josef Chromy.
Access to the cabin is via a shared driveway with ample parking - just follow the signs. Guests are very welcome to use the gardens around the dam or take a stroll around the property.
We always respect your privacy while staying with us. Having said that, Bundaleera is a working vineyard, which means people and machinery may come and go from time to time. This is all part of the unique experience of staying in a vineyard!
We offer convenient self-check-in so you can check in any time that suits you after 2.00PM.
Northern Tasmania has many places you will want to explore so we suggest hiring a car as it's the easiest way to see our beautiful region. Nearby Launceston city and towns such as Evandale, offer wonderful cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
